About the Founder & CEO
Leadership shaped by ministry, education, financial management, entrepreneurship, and community service.
Pastor Michael Whea Mardeh is a Liberian Christian leader, development advocate, public-sector financial professional, educator, entrepreneur, and community builder with a deep passion for transforming lives and creating opportunities for vulnerable people.
His work gives particular attention to children, young people, single-parent families, and underserved communities. He founded ImpactReach Foundation as a Liberia-based nonprofit platform for practical support, education, empowerment, and sustainable opportunities that can lead to lasting transformation.
His leadership philosophy is rooted in the conviction that every person deserves an opportunity to discover their potential, develop their God-given abilities, and build a better future.
Through IRF, he seeks to move beyond temporary relief by advancing education, skills development, youth empowerment, livelihood opportunities, community development, and support for vulnerable families.
Meaningful development requires vision, accountability, education, leadership development, opportunity, partnership, and long-term commitment.
A leader driven by purpose
Years of leadership across ministry, education, public service, and community-based initiatives shape his practical approach to institution building. Establishing and managing these initiatives has given him practical insight into the challenges facing families, children, educators, young people, and emerging community institutions in Liberia.
Founder of The Power Of His Word Ministries Inc. (City Of Life), building a faith-centered institution designed to serve people and strengthen communities.
Founder of Glorious Life Academy, investing in educational opportunities and the long-term development of an institution capable of serving a growing number of students.
Public-sector financial management experience strengthened his understanding of financial accountability, institutional systems, resource management, organizational management, and responsible stewardship of public resources.
This professional background shapes his approach to nonprofit leadership, where he emphasizes transparency, accountability, responsible financial management, measurable impact, and sustainable growth. Organizations serving vulnerable communities must operate with the highest standards of integrity, because every resource entrusted to them represents an opportunity to change someone’s life.
Commitment to education
Pastor Michael believes quality education must extend beyond academic instruction. It should equip young people to contribute meaningfully to society and build pathways toward productive lives.
This conviction directly influences IRF’s commitment to empowering children and youth through education and skills development.
The vision behind IRF
Under Pastor Michael’s leadership, IRF is working toward ambitious long-term goals for people and communities across Liberia.
Partnership is central to the vision. IRF seeks collaboration with organizations, institutions, churches, businesses, government agencies, philanthropists, and international development partners to build sustainable programs and measurable results.
Flagship initiative
“100 Children, One Greater Future” mobilizes support for vulnerable children and helps remove barriers that can keep them from learning and thriving.
Leadership philosophy
For Pastor Michael, leadership is not primarily about position or title. It is about responsibility, service, and results in people’s lives.
Every program should improve the life, dignity, capacity, or opportunity of the people being served.
Support should help people develop the capacity to become more self-reliant and economically productive.
Resources must be managed responsibly, transparently, and for their intended purpose.
Sustainable transformation requires strategic collaboration rather than working in isolation.
The goal is not simply to respond to today’s needs, but to help create a stronger tomorrow.
Faith & service
As a Christian leader and pastor, Pastor Michael’s understanding of service is deeply influenced by his faith and commitment to demonstrating compassion through action.
While IRF seeks to work with diverse partners and communities, its approach is grounded in values that protect human dignity and encourage practical hope.
Building a legacy of impact
Pastor Michael’s broader vision is to build institutions that continue creating opportunities long beyond his personal leadership.
For him, success is measured by lives transformed, children educated, young people empowered, families strengthened, and communities given new hope.
Through IRF, he is committed to helping build a Liberia where vulnerable children have opportunities to learn, young people have pathways to productive livelihoods, families can become more resilient, and communities can participate in their own development.
He sees ImpactReach Foundation not simply as a charity, but as a platform for human transformation, opportunity, empowerment, and sustainable community development.
